Hi y’all! I’m Ashley. I was born and raised in Tennessee (Go Vols!) but now live in Texas. I’m a southern girl at heart. I married my college sweetheart and we are blessed with 2 amazing boys. I love to travel, watch my boys play sports, eat cupcakes, and drink sweet tea.

I knew in middle school I wanted to be a speech therapist after watching a movie that featured a boy who stuttered. I guess it fit naturally with my desire to help people achieve their personal best and give them confidence no matter the challenge life had delt them. This choice was solidified when my uncle had a traumatic brain injury when I was in college. I was able to watch his recovery first hand and witness the impact the speech therapist had on his communication.

I earned my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Since then, I have worked in every setting possible, from nursing homes, hospitals, to pediatric feeding. That’s the beauty of being an SLP- it can fit your life! I now work in private practice serving a large Christian private school.
